Has anyone updated to the new video driver from the Toshiba website? I am currently using 169.09 on a X205-S9359 without any problems. Is the new driver better? Is it even worth trying?

Why don't you just use the latest drivers from Laptopvideo2go? It's not like the drivers on the Toshiba are better or anything. Try 177.89 from LV2GO, it will have much better performance than the 169.09 drivers that everyone apparently still uses even though they are so old.

What particular laptop is this driver for, or does it apply for all Toshiba laptops?

(Perchance this question is not seen, could you please notify me immediately)

The new Toshiba Display driver is good for all Toshiba X205 laptops. To download it, just go to Toshibadirect.com support page and choose your particular model.

    I'll also try 177.89 from LV2GO when I get a chance. Thanks.

I tried it last week the 176.05 on my x205 sli1 it gave me a 3dmark6 basic score of 73xx. Then I tried forceware 177.79 which gave me 73xx then I installed physx and the score dropped by about 20 pts. The BEST driver that I have found to give me the highest score on 3dmark6 is 175.19 which gave me on my last run with it 7575 and not only does it give me the best score but overall best fps and overall perceivable smoothness in my games. Physx is all hype. 177.79 and 176.05 are about 200 pts less than 175.19 and I also tried the driver for the x305 175.90 using the have disk method and it also scored 200pts below 175.19. So I suggest anyone with the x205 sli series give the 175.19 a try. And don't take my word for it run some tests play Call of Duty 4 multiplayer or any other game run 3dmark6 and tell me if this is not the fastest driver for our system and post which one is and I'll move on to that. But be honest cause I did do a lot of installing and uninstalling and the extra things that come along with doing that and testing to go back to 175.19 until something better comes along. Thanks

I'm using the Toshiba Satellite P200 model. Obviously according to what is being said, one simply has to go to the Toshiba website and check for the latest drivers, correct?

i ve tried this new driver on my SLI1.....but first of all it doesnt bear the toshiba logo
there is no improvement in my 3Dmark06 just 7244....and the bad , is the s-video out didnt work proberly like the original driver at all same as all the drivers from laptopv2go...all of them didnt work properly with the s-video but really improves the overall frame rates and the 3Dmark scores and got 75xx...so i think it doesnt worth to upgrade this toshiba driver at all.

Toshiba does not have an updated video driver for the Satellite P200 model. In fact, there are a very limited amount of updated drivers for this model.
