I just picked one of these up from my local Best Buy - I am trying to decide between this model and the HP DM3-1030US (which has similar specs).

Initial impressions are that the laptop feels relatively solid except there is some flex around the back of the screen by the hinge and the plastic does creek a little.

Unlike some of the other laptops I looked at the battery on this doesn't move and feels quite solid. The case is black with the fusion finish and so far seems to hold up to the fingerprints quite well.

    Here are the specs :
    Pentium SU4100
    3GB DDR3 Ram
    320GB 5,400 rpm Hard Drive
    13.3" TruBrite LED Display
    Cost $549

Here is the Windows Experience score :
    Processor 3.9
    Memory 4.7
    Graphics 3.5
    Gaming Graphics 3.3
    Primary Hard Disc 5.3

    Base Score 3.3

I will post more once I have had time to put it through some tests and also when I have been able to directly compare to the DM3.

One first impression is that the touchpad is far superior to that on the HP allowing for more accuracy and easier use. Although not sure I can get used to the single mouse button.

If you can check and see who made the touchpad (Alps, Synaptics, etc) then you can get the latest generic drivers from their website. I can't imagine that Toshiba did anything special to them.

not sure what they did, but with the latest synaptic drivers (i have synaptic) using the touchpad the mouse moves very laggy. i guess the refresh rate of the touchpad is low.

when i uninstall the drivers, the lag decreases, but its still there and im without the touchpad features like scrolling lol. hopefully they can update the driver to run better.

side note.. anyone with a t135 does your keyboard bounce when typing on? its not the laptop frame that moves, it just seems like my keyboard has some space between it and the laptop frame, so when i push down i can bend the keyboard downwards till it reaches the frame lol. its minimal but annoying non the less.
