UPDATE: i tried them again today using the setup file in the driver folder and after the blue screen my laptop started behaving extremely erratically making weird sounds and keyboard not working had to restart about four times just to get out of the initial screen! wtf?

same here, I had to restart 4 times...
I hope it did not kill some hardware like the flash/rom/bios...

    I love these drivers...

On my 8700M GT, 776Mhz@Core 1000@Mem artifact free

    3DMark06 at 1280x1024:

An the best thing is that on load even with this OC, the GPU temps never goes beyond 60ºC... cooler than on an desktop 8600...

Some voltmods/pencilmods to increase the VGpu and VDimm, and he unlock this beasts...

Note, it looks like I was right about 3dmark06's processor bias as well.

Our scores are 550points apart and our clock setting similar for our 8700s

Your chip is 3 models higher
    7100 1.8GHz (mine) 5445
    7300 2.0GHz
    7500 2.2GHz
    7700 2.4GHz (yours) 6018

It looks like a 150-200 bump for each processor model (0.2MHz in this family)

These drivers rock... finally allowing 8700 users to begin to see their GPU reach its potential. The 8700 has NO heat issues...
I've run mine for 5+ hours at 776/938 in a warm room on my LAP... never once did it exceed 70C!

If you stay below 60C then Clevo/Sager has built an even better cooling solution than Toshiba... kudos to them....looks like they use a higher quality DDR3 module as well (or you just got a luckier draw)

World in Conflict, HL Lost Coast, Flight Sim X, Race07, Call of Duty 4 Demo all ran really well, didn't run across any problems with this driver yet, and that was playin all afternoon and some this evenin with the 675/1350/945 OC... happy camper so far

How hot is your GPU running with those OC settings?

Well I just installed and ran 3DMark06 and attached are the results:

This was with gpu at 675/800

This was with gpu at 700/900

I need to tweak my system a bit and stop some background stuff like the finguer print reader maybe and I have enabled supersampling . Well I tried running it at 725/950 and 750/975 and both failed so I guess 700/900 is the best my 8700M GT will do for now but for a single gpu it's not too bad of a score, I think.

    :p ;) :D

I get BSoD with this driver too...

    Very frustrating!

Use CCleaner and DriverCleaner before installing, but no joy...

According to RivaTuner, it's idling around 56ish, and during a good gaming seesion it gets up around 70ish, haven't seen it past 72c yet. Any idea if that's good or bad? Doesn't seem too bad, and don't get any artifacts or glitches like I have with other pc's and videocards I've oc before. And the laptop overall runs really cool, especially compared to my Sager 4780 that this replaced, that thing just sitting at the desktop would be uncomfortable on my palms, and playing games got even worse!
