My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite X205-S743 with Windows Vista Home Premium x86 SP2, which is an installation off a MS Windows Vista DVD, not the OEM installation, if that makes any difference.

I wanted to try pairing my BlackBerry Curve 8330m with my laptop via Bluetooth. When I clicked on the Bluetooth Devices icon in Control Panel and clicked on Bluetooth Settings, nothing happened. When I clicked on Add Wireless Device, the Next button was grayed out.

I tried having my BlackBerry detect my laptop, but of course that failed.

I downloaded the Toshiba Bluetooth Monitor, then tried to install the Bluetooth Stack, but recieved a blank error message with a code of 1155:.

I also noticed that in Device Manager, there is no entry at all for anything related to Bluetooth. I believe my Bluetooth device should be enabled if I have the wireless network switch set to On. It is set to on, but no Blueooth anything.

    Thank you.

Right click on the bluetooth icon in your system tray. There should be an option to turn it off/on. Make sure it is selected to on.
