This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Errr... most of these companies don't manufacture their own laptops.

    Asus is the only one that I recognize as ODM.

    As others have stated, none of the companies listed above actually make their own notebooks beyond designing them, except for Asus.

    I just based my opinion on bang for the buck and latest technology. Dell seems difficult to top. I assume the meaning is for brand rather than contractor.
