    Hi all.
I just picked up a new M-45 tonight.
The 2 holes on the notebook that the latches lock into. The hole on the left has a shiny spring loaded cover in it. The one on the right is empty. Sort of looks like it should have that same piece.
Can anyone tell me if theirs has it or not?
    Thanks!

Wwwwwwweeeeeeeeellllllllllll! Mine has this silver plastic piece too, but it better has, because it is the switch mechanism for the laptop to know that you've closed the lid or not.

Try to push it with something small and the screen will shut down :)

no problem ;) The thought actually crossed my mind at first too, but I realized there was no other switch for the laptop lid. Most of the time, there's tiny stupid switchy very close to the screen lid that you can easily push and make the screen shut down, so I prefer this way, because you can,t push it accidentally, or break it that easily.
