Since Toshiba didn't put it up on the official site yet, and I know many of us X505 owners are waiting for the next display drivers, I found this on laptopvideo2go.com.

    Toshiba Mobile 265.89 released - LaptopVideo2Go Forums

just download and install. Doesn't need an modified Inf to install. I have increase of 5-10 fps in Battlefield Bad Company 2 and my WEI went from 7.0 to 7.1 for graphics/gaming graphics.

There are come complaints about the driver saying that this driver does not install for 460 gtx ? Is there any problem with Qosmios with 460 gtx?

I think the complaints were for the 460 gtx desktop. These probably were for the GTX 460m. When uninstalled the original drivers and installed this, I did it without the modified INF, and when it told me to restart to finish installing, I did and it didn't conclude the installation, so I had to run it a 2nd time, and then it installed.

I had 2 instances where in windows I had a black screen for about a second and then the screen would come back on and a notification would say display stopped responding and has recovered. So this kinda worries me, but I don't want to give up the extra 5-10 fps these drivers give me in Battlefield Bad Company 2. I know for sure that the performance has increased because my WEP score for graphics/gaming went from 7.0 to 7.1.

Hopefully Toshiba or Nvidia releases a formal one on their site, until then I'll stick with these.

So should I take the risk with my X505-Q892? Anybody on the Q892/893 got these drivers yet?

like I said, I'm using em, and besides those two instances, so far so good. At least I know it's just the driver, if anything I can always roll back to the original ones until Toshiba releases an official one on their site, problem is when?
