I was doing memtest+ for probably an hour and suddenly there was a click and NOTHING! I have no lights on the front when the power cord is plugged in, I get no response when I press the power button. The poor thing is smoking hot! I had no idea that test was so intense! Is there any hope? Not a good week for laptops in my home. I'm currently reloading windows on my wife's Dell that had memory and the hard drive go bad.

IT'S ALIVE, IT'S ALIVE! I can't hardly believe it. I thought I killed it. I love my Toshiba. I think I need to clean out those heat sinks though. I hear the fans screaming, but I don't feel anything from the sides anymore. If I remember, there was hardly any sound, but it moved quite a bit of air when new.

    PHEW! that was close.

Ya, clean that sucker out ! It probably just overheated and refused to turn on because it was too hot.
