I've been looking for 2 weeks now to find a M5-S433 review! I can't even find an opinion on the darn machine! Does anyone have one and want to post a few comments or know where a review is.

The M5 is the new Tecra, duo 1.83, 100G, mag case, 14.1" costs about $1799 from Toshibadirect.com.

    Any comments would be great.

Ok I just got my M5 and have to say on Day one I'm very impressed. Short take on it is that the Keyboard is far and away the finest keyboard on a laptop I've used. The DEL key and PGUP PGDN are in odd places, which takes a little getting used too, but the thing is rock solid. I've used a z60T and I know they are suppsoed to be the best, but this Toshiba has zero flex, much better to type on.

The metal case, with no screen wobble. very nice.

It does get warm, the fan is on and seems to be variable speed, its darn quiet but you can feel the warm air coming out of the left vent.

    Pi to 2M is 1minute 25 seconds.

A little bit of bloatware, but nothign that a few minutes on remove programs didn't fix.

So far I'm very happy with it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed

I'm getting the M5 as soon as i see customize options on Toshiba's website.
It seems to me that Toshiba is keeping the new Tecras very tight (out of reach) as is very hard to find any dealers or any promotions on them.
Oh well, there is always Fujitsu.

    Great for you.

How is screen quality? are colors vivid?

Take few shoots of the screen, please.

Screen color is pretty good, very crisp and clear, but...i don't think it's as bright as my 3 year old 600M. It feels like it should go up one more click...so to speak. But overall great, a little light bleeding at the bottom..and one bad pixel (it's green) but it's on the right hand side just on the edge of the slider for the internet or word..so it's not that noticable.

I will say the general build is very impressive, keyboard is almost too solid. The mouse takes a bit to get used too, not as smooth as I would like.

I know, its not 100% solid, and precise, touchpad is similar to Tecra M4 and Satellite R15, dont like the buttons. But you can always use TouchPint.

Looks like they use same screen form S100 portege, its good but notnihg more.

Oh yes, I forgot to ask. How is video card, it's new quadro. Any good? If you have some time please run 05 3DMark to test video porformance.

Speakers are ok? bright and loud?
