    Hey guys,

    I have a satellite M60-CD4.

Recently I have been having problems with the monitor, mainly it just doesn't display properly sometimes lines, or different colours will display.

Yesterday the monitor stopped working all together, it lights up as in the back light but that is all. The screen is completely black except for the back light as I stated.

I was able to connect an external monitor and it does function.

Does anyone have any ideas what it can be, or perhaps a few troubleshooting things I can do?

Maybe as a place to start you want to take it apart and put it back together just to see if any of the connections aren't making proper contact.

Thanks guys, sorry for the late reply I haven't been on the site in a while.

Anyway I am not sure I know how to check them, but I am fairly confident it would be that since the screen is again working. When it stops it is always when the computer restarts or turns back on. Then after a few restarts the screen will function again.

I decided to just buy a new laptop instead of dealing with this dinosaur I will take it apart then and figure it out. I should have checked when I replaced the hard drive this week, but I think one is easier than the other, lol.
