    Hi there,

It seems every month brings with it a new problem for this laptop of mine! I own a Toshiba Portege M800, and all of a sudden the "k" key on my laptop has suddenly stopped working, no matter how hard I press the key or how many times I do it, the "k" key does not register. I have tried using a hairdryer on it as I did spill a minimal amount of water CLOSE to that key but NOT on that key.

I have looked around and tried booting my laptop by the windows installation disk by pressing any key. I've done it two times now and I was able to get the laptop to respond by pressing "k."

So what does this mean? Will I need to buy a new keyboard and install it myself?

(In case you are wondering I have been copying and pasting the "k" key.)

    Thank you in advance!

Nevermind, I pried the cover off of the "k" key, took out the plastic rigging and cleaned out the space at the very bottom of the key and was able to get it to work again!
