Hi everyone, was browsing the Toshiba Direct Site and noticed they have introduced a new series into their Satellite range.

Anyone care to share reviews or opinions on this model? Any help is appreciated :)

I'm very close to pulling the trigger on an M500 myself! I'm hopeful but doubting to find a real review by the end of the weekend. The sale they have right now is great, but it ends on Monday. These have only been out a week or two, someone needs to do a review quick!! Or I guess I could be the guinea pig :)

I like the fact you can customize it with a ATI card instead of an intel. The screen is a led and a 1300X768 resolution finally. HDMI and no more volume wheel I guess....it's now touch sensitive buttons but it's ok. Speakers even look bigger, but not as big as the Qosmios harman kardons.

Pretty nice machine. The volume push buttons are kind of annoying since they beep now. Probably a way to turn it off, but didn't look. Some things are better but some things are worse. I liked the M305 I had better in terms of design and this one in features. The touchpad buttons are pretty stiff, would probably take some getting used to. The gestures are nice though. Screen's average, but the frame on the non edge-to-edge is ridiculously thick (screen to edge). That's all that I've seen from the one I got to play with, wasn't the greatest but still seems durable like it would last forever like most Toshibas.

I wish they would loosen the damn hinges on em. Still takes 2 hands to open the lid. This HP can be opened with one hand pulling the lid up, and it's still the same weight as the 14" Toshibas.
