I am looking to pick up one of these and figured I would rely on this groups experience to help me with my decision. Feedback reviews or anything else I should be thinking about with regards to this model... I like all the features that come with this one and have been unable to find similar specs in other models or brands.
Cheers

I am looking at this one too. I played Painkiller on it and it ran very smooth at 10*7 high detail. I was impressed.
The screen is amazing.
The DVD-R and MCE are cool. This thing can act as a TIVO PVR.
It is a couple hundred more than I wanted to spend, but the dealer has 24 equal payments right now...
My only beef is the go5600 video GPU. It is weak compared to the Radeon 9600. -

WAIT FOR THIS NEW ONE - $50 MORE AND IT HAS A 3.2 GHz P4 AND ATI 9700!!!!!!! -
If I am not a gamer will I notice a difference between the GEFORCE FX5600 and the ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9700 both 64MB??
This one has just gone down in price and is expected to go down again very soon when the new one comes out. Is there that big of a dfference between 3.0 and 3.2??
On a side note which is better a DVD- or a DVD+ burner or is it 6 of one a 1/2 dozon of another?? -
No, you won't feel any difference.
Editor in Chief http://www.bargainPDA.com and http://www.SPOTstop.com -
The screen is better on the 610. WAY BETTER.
DivX playback on the 9700 will be better. The 5600 seems to have nice video features: http://nvidia.com/page/fx_mobile.html
Futureshop sells these for 2799. The new one is 2899, but online sellers are listing it at 2750 so I expect FS will match.
If the 610 were 2500 or less, I would personally get it. But the gaming aspect is important for me. If it isn't a big deal for you, get the 610. The better screen is reason enough and 200 MHz will not make a difference to you.
