ok my laptop is acting up really weird lately... laggy games... random BSOD<driver issue>, shutting down takes quite a LOOOONG TIME<about 10 miuntes... wutta pos> etc...

k i have no problem formatting and installing.. ive done it hundreds of times on desktops... my only concern are the drivers. I Have a Toshiba P100 ST9012, went to toshibas download link... chose my laptop model (the st9012) and there is like almost nothing useful there for freshly installed OS.. i need the motherboard driver(can be dled from intel maybe? but which one).. thats the biggest prob im worrying.. i have no problem finding the other drivers.. or dont aptop need mobo drivers??

if i use the "recovery cd" its gonna install the junks that i dont want

You will need to download the 945pm intel mobility drivers from intel chipset drivers, thats for your mainboard, Graphics card drivers you can download here , i think its a 7900 something... Sound should auto detect in xp, if not there other ways of getting the driver contact me if you need help...

for wifi you can use the driver provided by toshiba http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/...ineID=cccgaddjjggkmdecgfkceghdgngdgnn.0&ct=DL

    and modem support:
