    Hi,
I was wanting to find out what sound chip is in this unit. I just got a P105-S6014. It uses some new or obscure Conexant High Definition Audio that I can't seem to find any new drivers for. So, I was wondering if the P105-S921 uses the same chip?

I've seen reports/reviews good and bad on the sound. I'm leaning towards low sound level, bass/treble being greyed out in the sound control panel, and sometimes, garbled sound. That's why I was looking for some updated drivers and mebbe fix my problems.

Thinking of getting a P105-S921 tho and if the P105-S921 and P105-S6014 use the same sound chip, I don't think I'd like P105-S921.

    Thanks!

The driver name from Toshiba for the P105-S921 has Conexant in the name. The INF file for the driver says:

"INF file for installing the Conexant Function Driver for Waikiki High Definition Audio Device"

That and I think the P105-S6014 and P105-S921 are very close product cousins would suggest to me that they are the same audio chipset though I haven't found proof of that looking on the internet.
