The image below only shows one side, but the cracks appear on both sides. Is there a quick fix for this by replacing the cover or is this something I just have to live with? Super glue and a small clamp maybe?
The cracks currently are in the cover only and not in the hinge itself. Am I ok as long as the hinge isn't affected?
Just looking for some information as to how worried I should be and if there is a fix for this.
Thanks

apparently there are quite alot of cracking problems with the P series. there are probably many examples on this site, just search for them. its very sad that this happens cuz it truly ruins the design and looks, not sure about it being more than cosmetic though.

Those cracks show that there is insufficient structural strength to transfer the bending forces (when opening / closing) between the plastic display assembly and the metal hinges.
I had this problem on a Dell (after the warranty had expired) and fixed it by drilling small holes (1.5mm dia / 1/16") into the plastic (about 12mm / 1/2") each side of the crack, inserting re-bent paper clips across the crack and into the holes then covering it all with epoxy resin glue. However, superglue would be worth trying to start with.
