    Hello,
I have had this laptop for a while and its run decently for a few years. But recently, i have had some serious problems...

When i use it, it goes thru spurts of working like a dream, then the screen blinks for a second, and then it runs horribly. For example, while playing WoW (online game), i will be running at 60fps for about 5 minutes, then the screen blinks, and suddenly i plummet to 9-13fps for about 3 minutes, then back up to 60 (after another screen blink) then slow again and so on... Over and over...

Ive scanned and rescanned my computer for any bug, virus, add ware, anything, my drivers are updated. I even bought a laptop fan since i figured maybe it was over heating, but even with that i still have the problem.

Know anything else i can do? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

edit: Also, while im using it, my fan (sounds like its in the center) pulses on and off... Ramps up,then turns off... it does this every 10 seconds, and only stays on for about 2 seconds...

    Thanks
    Bradley

I would recommend upgrading to the latest BIOS (v 4.30) since it has performance fixes. I know what you are talking about, bios versions 4.10 and down had this issue where graphical programs (games, etc.) would continually skip and drop in fps over and over again. This new BIOS fixes this issue. The only thing is that make sure you REINSTALL your video drivers after applying the new BIOS. Your fans may not turn on unless you reinstall your video drivers. Hope my reply isnt too late.
