HI All, I posted this on the Toshiba site forums, with no reply as yet. I really need some help urgently with this. If anyone can help I'd be so grateful. Thanks!...........

I am trying to boot from an Acronis True Image boot disc so I can install a previous saved True Image backup. I press F12 during boot but there is no CD/DVD drive listed.

I have tried moving the CD drive to top in boot selection in F2, but it still won't boot from the drive.

What can be wrong here? I tried a firmware update for the drive, but it's already up to date, so wouldn't install.

    Thanks for any help.

    Les

Do you hear the disc spinning up?
I think it might be broken unless you burned Acronis using the same DVD ROM

Hi! No spinning up. The drive is listed in the bios, but not when F12 is selected. Strange. Well I burned an Acronis boot disc using the P200-1EE, but it doesn't work, rather the CD/DVD drive doesn't boot.

I plugged an external hard drive in to USB which has the Acronis stuff on it. This is selectable in F12, but on booting displays a "missing operating system" message.
