I have recently purchased a P25 S509 notebook. It has the nvidia geforce fx go5200 32mb vedio card. Does anyone know of a way to upgrade the vedio memory to 64 or 128mb? Or possibly a way for it to share other memory? Toshiba tells me that the video card is permanently installed. I'm wanting to do some video editing and it appears that the 32mb card leaves something to be desired. Obviously I'm a novice at this but your input would be appreciated.

Yeah, no. Video cards are not at all upgradable. With all that computing power crunched into a 1 1/2 inch thick box, notebook manufacturers have to use all the space, so there is no way to get at most of the internals without a major disassemble. Even if you get at the video card, I have a notion that I read somewhere that the card is integrated into the motherboard, where the only differences between a dedicated and integrated video memory being just that - they add memory to the board.
Laptops are weird. I tinker with my desktop all day long, but trying to mess with a lappy is beyond what I'd do, and fooling with the video card is the last thing I'd want to do. -
