I have a toshiba P305-S8906 and my mute and open windows media player led touch buttons stopped working. The lights blink when touched so its not a hardware problem and all the other hotkeys still work (play/pause, stop, forward and back)
Im having trouble finding the driver that controls this so if that might help i dont know. I had this same issue a while ago and it was solved by uninstalling a driver and then just restarting my computer and having windows automatically notice the missing driver, but i cant find the forum that helped my and i dont know which driver it was. Thanks for anyones help![]()

I figured it out, it was Toshiba's value added package that was conflicting with the buttons. Its kind of ironic actually because thats the program thats supposed to control the buttons but after uninstalling it i noticed the buttons worked. So i reinstalled it but without the button options, it now works flawlessly.

My P300 has the same problem as you describe, looks like you figured it out yourself.
Nice to know what is causing the problem, I will still use the latest value added package as i prefer the lights to be off, as it`s distracting.
+REP for finding this out.
