    I am just wondering for the toshiba laptop P35-s629, is the 9700 64mb of memory shared, I am not really sure what discrete graphic cards are. so i am wondering if this model will perform better than say a hp zd7260us with go5700 w/ 64mb laptop in gaming performance. anyone can give me any infos on the discrete 9700 video card for toshiba?

    No, systems based on the ATI 9700 GPU does not have shared video memory. All the memory is dedicated/discrete. The performance should be better than the 5700. I believe the 5700 is comparable in speed to the ATI 9600 GPU.
