I have a Toshiba Satellite 5105-S501 that I purchased in 2002. It has been working FINE until last week. Then all of a sudden, when I was typing an email, the whole screen started flashing and it looked like mosaic was forming on the monitor. Then slowly the mouse started not working, and I couldn't even restart using Ctrl Alt Delete. The monitor looked to be locked and it was fussy all over the screen. Then I started the computer, and it initially said "windows xp" "starting" then it went to black screen or that fussy screen. I turned on/off button again and next thing I clicked on safe mode, and it was able to lead me to the safe mode. And I also tried to Restore to previous setting, and it still wouldn't work (went to the same fussy screen that went to black screen).

    My question is:
    1. Is this more viral problem? Would rebooting the system work?
    2. Is this more video card problem? So rebooting will not solve the problem?
    3. Is there something that repair shops can do to save my computer or is it forever lost?

Your opinions/advice will be deeply appreciated!!!! PLEASE HELP.
