Those buttons are not working on my M40 all of a sudden for windows media player. The fast forward and back buttons still work. Can anyone help me fix the problem?

Things that i've tried but no luck

1)remove and reinstall with latest version of toshiba controls
    2)remove and reinstall wmp10

    any suggestions?
