I received a new Toshiba Satellite A215-S7425 laptop for Christmas. I really like it except for one thing. The mouse/pointer or something is erratic. I can be looking at a webpage, e-mail, etc. and the screen will just randomly minimize. The start menu pops up constantly as well. I've downloaded a couple of different drivers from Toshiba's website that I thought would help but no luck with those. I've adjusted the settings for my mouse and pointer but that hasn't changed anything either. Can someone please tell me what to do? It's driving me CRAZY! Anyone's help would be much appreciated.

I have a P205 and was having the same problem. I don't have my laptop in front of me so this is from my memory which gets worse every day.

Go into the settings for your touchpad. There is something in there about a tapping feature, or being able to tap the touchpad to do whatever. I turned that off on mine and haven't had an issue since (about 2 weeks now). If I remember I'll look when I get home to see the exact way to get to those settings. Good luck.

The corners of your touchpad have functions such as to minimize, close window, go back etc

Thank you 6 Fan. It worked!! I turned off the tapping feature and no more minimizing screens! I'm thrilled. Thank you again.
