Any M600 users out there? Would be great to hear some opinions on this notebook since I am in the process of shortlisting some lightweight 13.3 inchers for my next purchase.

I spotted this on the Toshiba S.E-Asia website and it looks like a competitor to the XPS m1330 and the Fujitsu S6410.

Specs look good, with a starting weight of only 1.89 kg.

Any idea what the price will be on this? I'm killing myself trying to find a good 13.3 notebook.

    Hi,
Have just taken a look at one of these babys in the store, they look great, feel very solid & well built. I'll definitely be buying one. Build quality felt superior to the XPS, which I was also considering. It is thicker and heavier though.

Here in Malaysia they are going for RM5k for the M600-E320 and RM6k for the M600-E340 (has larger 160gb drive and the santarosa chip). Both of these with 2gb ram.
At current exchange rates thats US$1444 and $1732.

Looks really good. Fangs, I had a good look at one at Harvey Norman the other day. Cost approx SG$2.4k, but with only 1 Gb RAM.

The build quality is quite good..not as good as the thinkpads, but solid nonetheless. Have you compared the build quality of the M600 with the Fujitsu S6410, since they are competitors?

The XPS was my top choice at one time, but is out of contention for now...I cannot play hide and seek with delivery times.

I need to check out the Fujitsu now for a final hands-on build quality check. I am leaning strongly towards the S6410 at the moment since I can get a good deal on it.
