    Hi.
I have R700 for a few days and i'm still trying to recognize patterns that steer cpu throtting/speed.

I was trying to play some fullhd film today and notebook was to slow, so i run CPU-Z to look at the cpu speed.
I see that it runs between 4-10 multiplier without load (500-1300MHz) thats very good !
it behaves similarly on Eco mode.
    but when I stress CPU (by using Prime95 for example,4 threads, utlilization=100%), CPU won't go faster!! it's maxing at 10x = ~1330MHz

Few days ago there it was no problem with reaching 2.4GHz (on battery), but then, processor had problems to run below 1GHz (it was not able to run slower) :/

When notebook is plugged in, same happened, won't go faster than 1.3GHz.

on advanced power settings, under CPU energy management, I have maximum cpu speed set at 100% (for battery and external power) and for minimum speed 0%

So i guess that there are some strange settings on this notebook that steer this behavior. Can you help me ?

    Well, i guess problem solved.
CPU cooling setting was causing processor speed limit, I've changed cooling method and now everything works fine, almost !!
Processor can as fast as 2.4GHz, but it wan't go lower than 9x ~1.2GHz.

Maybe designers decided that there is no point in lowering speed to 500MHz, cause it won't be more noticeable 'eco' than 1.2GHz ?

Some folks don't believe in ~533MHz
