    Hi,
    I would like to know if it is possible to upgrade the memory of my R830 up to 2x8GB. By reading the specifications of R830-S8330(US model?) and R830-10R (French model), I see a (single) difference on the maximun memory 2x8GB cons. 2x4GB Do you think this is a bios limitation of french model or can I upgrade upto 16GB with confidence?

    Hi Phil,

    I would not try it; the 8 GB [2x4GB] is a limitation but I do not know if it's BIOS or chipset. I would hate to see you waste money on a expensive RAM upgrade and have it not work.

    just do a System Scanner at crucial web site to know how many ram u can put
