    Toshiba Portege R205 =12.1" screen,1.2Kg but extrenal combo drive,3year w
    TX =10.1 ,1.2Kg built-in DVDR DL drive,1 year warr.

    real depends on what you need, size of screen, services, ....,

    Yeah it really depends on what you need it for. If you would like recommendations please fill out the FAQ for what notebook to buy in the notebook forum.

    You would really have to determine if you could use the 10" screen or the 12", that is quite a bit of difference really for ultraportables.

    women will like both's outlook.
    I will get R205, inshort--you will get more for what you paid in this two choices.
    in long---
    one of main reasonssss :13.1" is the minium/comfort size to read even I don't any short/long sight problems.
    ............

    BTW, SZ 160 premium is aslo a very good choice.

    thanks for responding.What about performance and reliability?
    the only reason I even think of the vaio it's it's screen resolution...i beleive the r205's screen is not that great while the vaio one it's supposed to be great.
