    With the SB problem probably going to take a month, or so to resolve itself anyone think Toshiba will introduce a new video card? I think the 6970m, should be out by then. :rolleyes:

    Hello,

    For the most part Toshiba has gone with the nVidia GPUs for quite some time with their high-end "gamer" notebooks. It is highly unlikely this will change.

    Okay, if not the AMD card, what do you think about the GTX 485, or the 5xxx seris? I think those newer nvida cards are supposed to run cooler. It would be something. :p

    Scanner,

    Definitely - I don't doubt Toshiba will eventually have the "latest/greatest" available GPU -

    Unfortunately with the Intel/SB/CP issue every manufacturer is being forced to revamp their furture product lines. Which may actually be a good thing, allowing the GPU chips to work into the products a little faster/sooner then expected.

    Who knows - Everyone is in a waiting/holding pattern at this point...

    If they integrate the GTX 485, expect a correlated rise in the price of the Qosmio (as the 485 runs several hundred more than the 460).

    I would really like to see the 485. But if they decide to integrate it into the 8100 series, I hope they do it fast and not put off the release untill 2012. However, in either case I do think the 2012 Qosmio will have the GTX 485.

    I would REALLY like to see USB 3.0 in the Qosmio because of the delayed SB release (NEEDS NEW MOBO ANYWAYS, CMON TOSHIBA!)

    @alexmux-

    I was really surprised as well, that the newest version of the Qosmio did not implement USB 3.0 - It is assumed that USB 3.0 will be standard on most platforms by end of 2011 - This is Brand Wide - Dell, HP, Toshiba, So On and On.

    BTW - Toshiba isn't the ONLY Manufacturer effected by the need to change out their MoBo on all there Intel SB releases - Every Manufacturer is being hit by this fiasco...
