Here is something I was wondering. My Dad just bought a 3D Plasma TV and was asking me about 3D games, so I mentioned that the 360 and PS3 both have 3d games in their libraries. Anyway, he bought 2 sets of 3D glasses for his TV, so I was wondering if I brought my lappy over to his house, will we be able to play the PC games in 3D with his stock setup or do I need to buy the special 3D glasses that NVidia makes specifically for their cards?
It seems to me that because these 3D glasses are made for his set that my laptop should output just a generic 3D signal to his TV that can be decoded by the glasses he has, but I remember reading somewhere that you have to use NVidia's 3D setup, but I am not sure about that.
Also, if this is doable, how do I set it up when I go to his house? Is it a standard HDMI output or do I need to have a special cable? Do I need to specifically set the laptop to output a 3D signal? Keep in mind, I know nothing about 3D technology lol.

I am interested in this too. Its tough being on the cutting edge of technology. Its probably better to let someone else do all the work. Good luck though. Maybe chime in at Nvidia 3D forums and ask!

Well, guys, don't all rush in to try and help us at once. lol It's not like I ever answer anyone's questions around here or try to be helpful. <eyeroll>

I wish I could help, but I don't even own anything that does 3D; nor do I know of the technology.
Might be better to post this question in the Hardware section of the forum.

I don't know if this is to your point, but I found it interesting on the Toshiba forums about tv and 3d:
