I was reinstalling windows and after it had finished it restarted the computer only to come up with a black screen. I sent it off to a company in California called Paramount Computers. They did fix the video issue but when I got the laptop back I plugged in my power adapter and it charged for a few minutes but then the red light indicating it was charging disappeared even though it was still plugged into my laptop. I ended up ordering a second power adapter same model PA3546E-1AC3 and it arrived yesterday only to do the same thing. It charged the laptop for a few minutes and then stopped charging exactly like my original power adapter. I let the battery die and then took it out of the laptop and let it sit overnight. This morning I put the battery back in with the power adapter and it started to charge but as soon as it was turned on and ran for a few minutes it stopped charging. I'm really confused, could this be the power port on my laptop has gone bad?

Currently have Windows 7 32 bit running on the laptop.

Thanks in advance for any tips or ideas you might have.

    Additional Notes:

I don't think the issue has anything to do with the battery because if that was the case I should still be able to plug in the power adapter and have it charge without the battery but it does not. I brought my laptop into work today and did figure something out. If I take the battery out and leave it unplugged for a bit then hold the power button for 30 seconds it drains the capacitor. Then I plug the battery back in and plug in the power adapter and it charges fine, but as soon as I turn the laptop on the power adapter shuts off. 10 minutes ago my computer went back to black screen mode where I get no picture.

    Help Anyone?
