    Hi,
I'm having trouble with power cables for my toshiba laptop. I have been through several now and so am beginning to think it's maybe a problem with my laptop and not the cable. I get a small spark when I connect the cable to the laptop and then the main power pack of the cable start to beep (sounds like a bomb !!).

Like I say I have tried a couple of power leads and they have all done the same so I don't think it's a fault with the cable.

    Any ideas would be welcome.

    Thanks

It might be the power "brick" itself. You could fry your notebook if you keep using it.

Do you plug the plug into the laptop before you plug it into the outlet?
Because I never do that because I think something could happen
