Hi all--I've got a Toshiba Satellite, about 18 months old. The left button on the Touchpad stopped working. When that happened, I re-enabled "tapping" so I could left-click somehow--but it won't left-click either. So I switched the right button to make it serve the left-click function--no dice. The thing just won't left-click. The only hint of functionality is that when I switch left-click to the right button, it will left-drag, but not click.

I've got a USB mouse plugged into it now, but I'd much rather have the touchpad back. I've reinstalled the synaptics drivers, to no avail. Any thoughts/suggestions?

    Thanks!

    Hi

Have you tried to remove the touchpad & give it a cleaning?

and notice anything unusual when it first started misbehaving, like a new software upgrade?
