I just got a new laptop today. It's a Toshiba Satellite L550 and When I install Windows, I get a stop error every time. I'm using the my old HDD, that's in this laptop (now my 2nd/backup laptop). It's 500GB. I even tried to install Windows on the HDD that came with my new one and the same thing happened.

So I took my HDD and put it in another computer and successfully installed Windows XP, but when I put it in my new laptop, as soon as the Windows XP loading screen show, it automatically restarts. BTW, my new computer has Windows Vista Premium.

I don't think there is no RAID in that laptop, I've looked. This laptop came with Vista when I got it too, but I managed to install XP on it.It didn't do what my new laptop did though.

Any help would be very much appreciated!

    sounds like a driver issue.
could try win7 when you get the free upgrade or google the lptop for winXP installs

I got it now. I had just forgot to create custom OS CD with the driver on it like before.
