I bought an M55 this weekend, and I want to reformat and install from my Windows XP disc. My computer hangs up on the "Setup is Starting Windows" screen before the EULA would normally pop up. The only way I've been able to sucessfully proceed with the install is to change the HAL to a non-ACPI one (which disabled some XP functions). Does anyone have any better suggestions on how to install XP on an M55-S135? Thanks for any help!

Nevermind! Slipstreaming SP2 onto the XP recovery CD did the trick!
