Been having a problem with my Mat****a DVD-RAM UJ 820 S drive on the Toshiba Tecra A2.

Was working fine until I tried to copy some songs of a CD onto the computer whereupon it failed to complete the operation and seemed to hand making a sort of buzzing noise.

I cancelled the process and took out the CD but no whatever CD I put it it does not recognise it and if I go to D:/ (CD drive) it says the disc has 0 bytes used space and 0 bytes free space.

Windows suggests everything is fine and I've tried playing around with the drivers but obviously as I have the actual driver on a Toshiba CD I can't do anything with that!

Cheers for anyone who can give me any advice,

    Mark

It's possible there's some software/drivers you have installed that is conflicting with the CD/DVD drive. If you want to try new drivers for your optical drive, you can download them from the Toshiba Support site.
