I have a 6 month old p206 (Canadian designator, 17 in widescreen, media centre edition, 3.8gig) and last evening, I moved the mouse at precisely the same moment that the laptop was going into sleep mode.
It went to sleep alright....Black screen of death.

I have powered down, powered up, yanked the power, tried to boot from the recovery disk (holding down C while powering up, right?)..NADA.

Any and all suggestions of what to try would be met with extreme gratitude!!!!!!!!!!!!!

power comes on, fan comes on, then everything stops progressing from there. Just sits with the black screen, one of the fans running, nothing else
