I've read a few posts about sound issues and the dreaded "static problem" associated with the A70.

There have been a few instances (maybe 10 times in six months) when my A70 has shutdown when I just left it on with the screen off and perhaps 10 times when the sound hasn't worked but out of thousands of hours of use problems like this are to be expected.

In comparison to pretty much every single computer I've ever used (286s to Macs to Pentiums) my A70 has been just as reliable as the best of them.

How bad/frequent as these problems that I'm reading about ??

Will these problems creep up on me only after I've had it for a year ??

all the probs you hear about the A70 show up quickly either instantanously or like a month later.

AFter buying mine I went overseas.
I had the typical static problem.
Got it repaired now one month later Im getting the prob again.
