Hello everyone, I just noticed something suspicious in my Satellite A105 laptop, which has an Intel Centrino Duo, and wanted to know if that’s normal or NOT! You know how when you right click on “My Computer” and then get the system info, mine doesn’t show what type of processor it is but only indicate that it’s Genuine Intel T2050 @ 1.60 GHz, even though all the systems that I owned before displayed the CPU type. I know that the T2050 is a Centrino Duo processor, but when I go to CheckIt Diagnostics and check for the system info, it shows that the CPU type is Celeron @ 1.60 GHz!
What do you guys think of this?

Yeah, its an error in the CheckIT program obviously.

Always trust "my computer" rather than any system information programs.

Have you tried any other utility to identify the cpu. I would suggest using either CPU-Z or Intels own processor identification utility to identify the cpu. Maybe its just that Checkit diagnostics needs to be updated to support/identify the new Core series processors.

thanks for your reply everyone. Yes, I used CPU-Z and it identified it as Centrino Duo. Thanks again everyone.
