I have a Toshiba Satellite A100-OFH and i've been getting ALOT of microsoft's ever so cherished "program not responding" errors where programs freeze and crash. I'm starting to think it may be the actual hardware like ram but I ran some diagnostics and everything checks out ok. At first I was getting it alot with videos, so I thought it was my beta release of wmp11 or ie7 but i rolled back both and still have problems, as well as while running other programs.

i also noticed tonight while connecting to a wireless network at a buddies place, that for some reason, this very weak signal seemed to wreck havoc on my machine...with stuff freezing/crashing all over, especially when I clicked on the network icon.

is my laptop screwed or is it software related, or still impossible to decide.

I would go for a format/reinstall of the OS, followed by all fresh drivers. I find that it solves many of the naggy issues in Windows. You shouldn't have to do this more than twice a year, though (and should not, according to some, since it adds wear and tear on the hard drive).
