    is there an RGB (component) output on the laptop m40 to plug into my HDTV ?

    also is there an audio out to plug in external speakers or to plug into my tv or is there only the headphones ?

    This is only a standard RGB DB15 port for an external monitor and an SVideo out port to output video to your TV via SVideo. There are no seperate RGB Component outs on any notebook that I know of.

    The audio out is via a 3.5mm mini jack (headphones). You can connect a 3.5mm to RCA converter cable to feed the audio to your TV. I do this on my notebook to get video (SVideo) & audio (headphone jack) to my TV.
