Is it possible to put an 80GB HD in my Portege 4000? I am tired of looking for 40GB drives. I need help...40GB drives are rare in my place.

Specs: Intel Pentium III 750MHZ, 128MB, Win98SE, Trident CyberBlade graphics. Old, but I love it.

    It should be 2.5" EIDE...

If it is, than you can put anything in it from 10Gb to 320Gb. There will be a problem with 98SE however...I think it won't like anything larger than 128Gb...but you could switch to win2000.

I've been thinking of upgrading to Win2K for a long time so as to do away with hunting for drivers for my USB gear. My only concern however are drivers. If they're present, I will.

Thanks for the input! I think I'll go with an 80GB.
