I've seen this model for a few months, but haven't seen any posts regarding it.
Thought I would bring it to the attention of some. It hasn't come out yet! but is expected to be released soon.
I think it is a great mid-level performance (not gaming) laptop, that can compete with HP DV6/7 and Dell XPS models.

This resurgence of the Qosmio F-series (as opposed to the X-series), has a smaller 15.6" screen, but packs a FULL HD 1080p screen with 3D capabilities w/o the need of glasses. The chassis seems to resemble more of the x505 series than the newer x770 series.

Other specs are: i7 CPU, Geforce GT 540m GPU, 6 GB ram.

    **EDIT**
    Found this at Bestbuy.com.
    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Toshiba+-+Qosmio+Laptop+/+Intel%26%23174%3B+Core%26%23153%3B+i7+Processor+/+15.6%22+Display+/+6GB+Memory+/+750GB+Hard+Drive+-+Brilliant+Red/2838285.p?id=1218355301273&skuId=2838285&st=qosmio&cp=1&lp=3
Shows a price of $1699. I'm guessing this will be the MAX cost; Amazon and Newegg are usually $100-$200 cheaper than BestBuy.

Really, if it can't game, then I see no need for it. It's too expensive to not be capable of 3D gaming.

you can game with a GT 540M, but you will have to reduce details. Especially if there is some kind of restrictions (I know that nvidia's 3D vision requires 120 FPS to run at 60 FPS).

This laptop needs 17.3 inch version, 1080p matte screen, gtx560m or higher with same great keyboard and speaker like qosmio x775.. I wouldn't hesitate to get one but 15.6 inch, lower resolution screen on top of gtx 540m is weak.. Idea is cool but really... gtx540m is so weak, it's definitely not for gaming(especially 3d). even gtx 560m is extremely weak for 3d gaming, I have to lower the setting to near lowest to get ok frame rate even on games like star craft 2. Oh.. and glossy screen.. bummer.. :(

but the way I c it, 3d screen without glass is still a myth. I have both evo 3d cellphone and nintendo 3ds and their so called 3d screen without glass is still look more like beta state.. severe ghosting occurs if you watch the screen in wrong angle.

In the article, it states the Toshiba F750 doesn't use the same type of technology as the Nintendo 3DS. It can be viewed from many angles, supposedly without losing any 3D quality. The on-board camera follows the user, compensating for the image so that it is still clear from many viewing angles.

This link has a video that shows how it works.

Be aware the F750 they had was a prototype. The actual laptop isn't supposed to have the video of your face (you'll see in the video).

I think it's aimed for performance/entertainment, but not extreme gaming (casual maybe). To me, this Qosmio is mainly a test, to see if there's a market for non-glasses 3D laptops (seeing as it is the first of it's kind).

I c.. still.. gtx 540m.. it's only good for watching 3d movie.. I came to conclusion that mobile gpu aren't powerful enough to play recent games in 3d. my x775-3dv78 has gtx 560m in it and I just got less than 15fps when I ran dead rising 2 in low setting 1280x720.. This is pathetic performance considering dead rising 2 isn't even gpu punishing title at all.. well.. at least compare to my desktop 3d stereoscopic performance with gtx 580 sli, laptop 3d performance is just too pathetic.. but even with desktop gtx 580 sli, 3d stereoscopic is still too demanding at 1080p as there are numerous titles that I can't get 60fps on 1080p when I play stereoscopic mode..

I would absolutely agree, but what I like about it is that it shows Toshiba is capable of creating 3D lappies without glasses and that is a great sign for the next generation of full-fledged Qosmio gaming laptops.

Don't agree with you there at all. I have a Satellite A665-3DV5 with a GT350M and it does 3d wonderfully. I don't have any problems running games even on very high settings except probably Crysis, haven't tried that one yet.

Also isn't SC2 a strategy game? Strategy games run from the CPU and are less dependent on the GPU.

Again my GT350M runs games in 3d just fine. That's interesting. Maybe it's the resolution. My satellite is 1366x768 and I have no problem running 3d even with Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 2. I haven't tried any of this year's games since there was nothing that came out this year that I liked.
