    Greetings,

I have been a long time reader of the board and finally got around to registering. I recently bought a Toshiba F7553D with the glass free 3D display. I love the system. It runs fast and has amazing graphics. Only problem is that it does not play 3D games. Rumor is that Toshiba is working with Nvidia on a patch. Do you have any idea if/or how often Toshiba puts out patches?

    Thanks,
    Joseph

Only thread I've seen of this is the one on Toshiba Forums that you have posted in:
qosmio f755 product - Toshiba Forums

Hopefully Toshiba will not drop the ball on this driver issue. It seems all their 3D laptops are affected by the inability of non-Toshiba drivers to install properly.

Keep us updated with any results.

Thanks Alex for the update. I have been reading a lot of people complaining about Toshiba and the graphic drivers never being updated. Is this a common thing for Toshiba? One guy on the Toshiba board hasn't had a driver upgrade for over a year.

I think it's a common thing for all manufacturers; many do not update video drivers unless there is a problem. However, most of us (like me) can manually update drivers from nvidia without problems.

It's just that the F7553D and possibly the x775-3D require a specific configuration due to the unique 3D hardware Toshiba uses. I think it may be that Toshiba needs to release the specific hardware ini files for nvidia to include with the files. I saw a couple months ago that the "Toshiba Qosmio x775-3D" was listed as a updated supported device in the nvidia drivers. This also might be the case with the F755-3D

Good luck and keep us posted with any updates
