I'm considering purchasing a Qosmio G40, mainly because of the quality and luminance (brightness) of Qosmio screens, in terms of NITs.

I'm wondering whether someone can help me verify that Qosmio G40 screens come in 2 differing versions, or have seen the difference.

    http://www.toshiba-asia.com/notebooks/viewByModel.jsp?modelID=1124

Shows 2 differing screens for the Qosmio G40 in the specs:

    17.0 CSV TFT
    17.0" (2lamp 350NIT) CSV TFT

From the Australian website (Can't show direct link as the site starts a session for each user)

    http://www.toshiba.com.au/

The Qosmio G40 (PQG40A-00Y014) shows only 300NIT for the screen.

Is the Australian version's screen inferior to the other versions?

I believe that the Qosmio G30 (previous Australian version) had 350NITs and seemed a little brighter. (Same resolution at 1920x1200)

Any comments or information will be greatly appreciated.
