OK - not sure if this is the right place to post this but hopefully someone has the knowledge to help...
I've managed to break the top right pin off my dc jack socket on my X300-11w. The machine has a 4 pin dc jack.
Braced myself for a non-working laptop but the machine seems to work fine - I've tried running it with battery in and out, on resource intensive games and all seems fine. I have a nagging sense that's unlikely however, so I was wondering if anyone here knew if it was safe to run the machine in this condition or if I should attempt to replace the dc jack - any ideas?

This jack has two positive and two negative prongs, here is the link to the part: Toshiba Laptop DC Power Jack : TS796500
The computer should keep working but it is puts more stress on the jack, which eventually should be replaced.
Also this company have a protective Break-Away connector: ProtectivePlug - The solution to Broken DC Power Jacks.
