OK - not sure if this is the right place to post this but hopefully someone has the knowledge to help...

I've managed to break the top right pin off my dc jack socket on my X300-11w. The machine has a 4 pin dc jack.

Braced myself for a non-working laptop but the machine seems to work fine - I've tried running it with battery in and out, on resource intensive games and all seems fine. I have a nagging sense that's unlikely however, so I was wondering if anyone here knew if it was safe to run the machine in this condition or if I should attempt to replace the dc jack - any ideas?

If you don't recieve any help here in the Toshiba subforum; I can move your thread to the Hardware subsection of Notebookreview.

Post here if you want it moved.
