Does anybody know if there is a fan control app for this laptop?

Im fed up of hearing the fan running when the CPU reaches 40C/104F and cooling it to 32C/90F it runs every 20 seconds or so for 10 seconds then goes off. on/off - on/off - on/off. The computer is only idle when this happens. its driving me crazy.

Fan control is hard-coded into the BIOS and thus cannot be controlled with software (with the exception of Dell laptops using Ik8fanui). You could

    A) check that the fan is free of dust and debris
    B) ensure that the BIOS is the latest version
