Well first of all merry Christmas everybody and speaking of Christmas I have a problem. I got about 6 computer games for Christmas and i was super excited! Until I remembered my CD/DVD drive on my Toshiba laptop stopped working 3 days ago. The computer recognizes that the drive is there it just doesn't want to read the discs or even accept that is there. I have tried cleaning the lens it just wont work.

Have you checked the device manager to see if there is an exclamation mark or maybe an error? Sometimes you can delete the drive there in the device manager, turn off the notebook and remove the screw that holds in the drive and remove it. Turn the notebook back on and re-insert the dvd drive and the OS will recognize it and re-install it automatically.
