So i took the plunge and purchasd a x300. Wit 9700 gts. Gpu temp under load 70-77.im hapy wit that. I did notice however ,using rivatuner monitorng, that my core/mem/ freq. Is always full speed(530/800) and my fan would speed up ever so often. Its bothersome, because evn on idle,it would speedup often. I hav the default nvidia driver dated(8th may 09),cant remember number version. I would like to knw: shouldnt the gpu clock adjust between 2d/3d frequncies as needed,y is mine fixd at full speed? I hav chekd mobility centre, switchd between balancd/powersaver/highperformance. Also even wen unplugd i.e using battery mode, gpu stil full speed. My nvidia driver does not hav any powermizer options(defualt toshiba driver) . Wot u guys think, advise? Is this normal for qosmio?

i would like some feedback pls. is it normal on the x300 for ther gpu to run at full speed all the time ? i had a alianware laptp on xp in the past and the gpu would hav 2D/3D clock settings, and would adjust between them as needed. am i making sense? or is this correct with toshiba drivers to be full speed in vista....
