I read some things that sort of unsettled me involving the quality of this model of notebook, and was wondering if anyone would be able to prove/disprove them. I know Toshiba has fixed a lot of the things with the laptop that people complained about, buy the quality of the casing and the LCD still worry me to an extent in that I've heard the case was apt to fracturing and the LCD is low quality. Can any help me sort out the fact from fiction?

Well I know that their screens on the A200/205 are very good. Good quality, and protection. I hear they have one of the least defective/dead pixel screens around....if the only difference between a205 and p205 is the screen size, i wouldnt worry about it.

I might get either the A200/205 or the P200/205. Depends on what I decide I'm able to heft around. The P200/205 is pretty and all, but it's god dang heavy.

I really like the a205's....they look good and get good reviews.
look up the review on this site as well.
i like the 205 4777, plenty of everything....
I also like the A215's but the 1st generation has an intermittent "blanking out screen issue", and i won't go near the 2nd generation ones until i know that issue is fixed.
If you get one let me know....
I was going to get a new laptop this past week, but i'm into my college semester and don't dare to get a new machine just yet.....maybe before the semester ends.
I keep my eye on the A205 prices though....
